Candelilla Wax
Candelilla wax is obtained from the leaves of the candelilla shrub (Euphorbia cerifera and Euphorbia antisyphilitica) native to northern Mexico. This vegetable wax is hard, brittle, and has a yellow to light brown color.

World debut: COSMOS certified candelilla wax for organic products
Together with our partner Multiceras, Norevo is currently the only supplier to offer COSMOS certified candelilla wax within the EU – an exciting opportunity to complement your organic recipe.

Origin
Candelilla wax is harvested in northern Mexico; however, the bushy plant also grows in parts of the United States. The leaves of the candelilla shrub are cut by candelilleros, leaving only their roots in the soil. Subsequently, the plants will need three years to completely regenerate.

Sustainability
Norevo exclusively sources candelilla wax from producers who strictly adhere to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) in their procurement activities.
Qualities

Pastilles
Our candelilla wax is available as pastilles of light color, allowing for easy handling and storage.

Powder
We also offer candelilla wax as a finely ground powder that is easy to dose and can be used in diverse recipes.
Applications

New in the portfolio: Wax in oil dispersions and wax in water emulsions
According to the modular principle, the recipe can be determined individually, whereby the solids content, the desired (organic) wax and the (organic) oil must be defined. We are able to respond to individual customer requests and thus provide a tailor-made product made of natural components.

Certificates
Our candelilla wax is comprehensively certified – whether Ecocert/Cosmos, Kosher, or Halal. Feel free to contact us, and we will happily advise you according to your own individual requirements.
